<p>Posting Details</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Winthrop Position Title Teaching Fellows Assistant - F25 Job Purpose</p> <p>The mission of the South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program is to recruit talented high school seniors into the teaching profession and to help Teaching Fellows develop leadership qualities. This experience aides students in gaining classroom experience and reiterates the importance of service to the community. The Teaching Fellows program provides a unique experience that will better equip its members to be productive in the teaching community.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide support for the Teaching Fellows Director and approximately 100 undergraduate students in the Teaching Fellows program </li><li>Maintain electronic files, coordinate and monitor Fellows' service-learning placements in schools and agencies, work with the Teaching Fellows Recruitment and Webpage/Scrapbook Committees to update the web page and prepare recruitment materials, and coordinate Teaching Fellows recruitment visits to local schools </li><li>Coordinate the Fellows' involvement in College of Education, Sport, & Human Sciences recruitment projects such as Teacher Cadet and ProTeam Days and the TEA Fellows program, which is a program of visiting international teachers that involves Teaching Fellows students </li><li>Assist the Teaching Fellows Director in preparing materials and conducting weekly seminars and other Teaching Fellows events (occasional evening and weekend responsibilities) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Undergraduate degree in teacher education preferred </li><li>Must be enrolled in a College of Education MEd or MAT program </li><li>Expertise with Microsoft Office applications </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Excellent time and materials management skills </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills </li><li>Web-based searching skills </li><li>Database management and skills </li><li>Ability to manage electronic files </li><li>Ability to conduct seminars with the Director </li><li>Ability to work with limited supervision </li></ul> <p>Pay Rate 5,094/Semester Type of Position Graduate Assistant (salary) Position Level Graduate Hours Per Week 20</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Posting Number 2025SD0231P Open Date 04/30/2025 Close Date 08/22/2025 Desired Start Date 08/25/2025 End Date 12/17/2025 Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Read Guidelines prior to applying: https://www.winthrop.edu/uploadedFiles/sgco/graduatestudies/assistantships/GA-Guidelines.pdf</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE</p> <ul> <li>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application. </li><li>Please complete the entire application, including all current and previous work history and education.
