<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Flight Paramedic functions as a member of the critical care transport team and is responsible for the care of critically ill and injured patients transported by ECU Health EastCare. Responsibilities include patient care, incorporating assessment, stabilization, and interventional techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director. The Transport Paramedic is expected to execute independent judgment, in order to deliver appropriate care that is consistent with the clinical protocols, when contact with a medical command physician is not possible. The Transport Paramedic functions as part of a team and shares responsibility for the teams conduct. The Transport Paramedic fulfills education and experiential requirements as established by the ECU Health EastCare Medical Director, and performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>High School or equivalent or higher is required.</p> <p>NC EMT-P training is required.</p> <p>American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, and PALS must be obtained before the end of orientation. NRP, ITLS or PHTLS must be obtained before the end of orientation as well. One specialty certification for example, FP-C must be obtained within 2 years of hire.</p> <p>3 years experience or 4,000 hours from a high call volume area is required.</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>$24.69 - $35.99</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>Position: 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week</p> <p>Shift: Rotating</p> <p>Fact Link:</p>
