<p>Appian Senior Developer</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable workflow, case management, and automation solutions on the Appian Low-Code Platform. The ideal candidate has strong hands on expertise with Appian objects, integrations, security models, and performance optimization across multiple environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Application Design & Development </li></ol> <ul> <li>Design and implement Appian applications including: </li></ul> <p>o Records (Database-backed, Service-backed, API-backed)</p> <p>o Process models & process orchestration</p> <p>o SAIL interfaces, sites, reports, dashboards</p> <p>o Data Stores, CDTs, and XSD structures</p> <p>o Complex business rules and expression logic</p> <ul> <li>Develop reusable components, patterns, and frameworks for enterprise-scale delivery. </li><li>Implement workflows involving human in the loop tasks (approvals, reviews, exceptions). </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Appian Security & Access Management </li></ol> <ul> <li>Define and manage role-based access control (RBAC) using: </li></ul> <p>o Groups</p> <p>o Role groups</p> <p>o Application-level permissions</p> <ul> <li>Implement secure credential handling for connected systems and integrations. </li><li>Apply Appian best practices for least privileged access across environments. </li><li>Support SSO / MFA / OAuth2 / API key-based authentication as needed. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Integrations & API Development </li></ol> <ul> <li>Design and build integrations using: </li></ul> <p>o Appian Connected Systems</p> <p>o Appian Web APIs</p> <p>o Third-party REST/SOAP services</p> <ul> <li>Handle complex external system communication including: </li></ul> <p>o Data ingestion & transformation</p> <p>o Asynchronous messaging</p> <p>o Error handling and retries</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with external engineering teams to ensure end to end data flow reliability. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Performance Optimization & Platform Health </li></ol> <ul> <li>Perform health checks and tune applications for: </li></ul> <p>o CPU & memory efficiency</p> <p>o Process model load reduction</p> <p>o Data store performance</p> <p>o Integration responsiveness</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot platform issues such as: </li></ul> <p>o Slowness</p> <p>o Process model bottlenecks</p> <p>o Integration errors</p> <p>o UI rendering issues</p> <ul> <li>Conduct load tests and build scalable processes for high concurrency environments. </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Environment Management & DevOps Support </li></ol> <ul> <li>Work across DEV ? TEST ? STAGE ? PROD environments. </li><li>Support deployments using Appian deployment packages and automated pipelines. </li><li>Adhere to change management, code review, and release governance processes. </li><li>Participate in production support troubleshooting and defect triage. </li></ul> <ol start="6"> <li>Documentation & Best Practices </li></ol> <ul> <li>Create technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and support runbooks. </li><li>Maintain version control and follow enterprise Appian development standards. </li><li>Contribute to reusable accelerators, coding frameworks, and development guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3-7+ years hands-on Appian development experience </li><li>Strong proficiency in: </li></ul> <p>o SAIL</p> <p>o Process model design</p> <p>o Integrations (REST APIs, Web APIs, Connected Systems)</p> <p>o Appian Records and Data Modeling</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of Appian security, user management, and deployment pipelines </li><li>Experience troubleshooting complex issues using Appian logs and monitoring tools </li><li>Solid grasp of relational databases, query optimization, and data modeling </li><li>Ability to collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams </li><li>Good to have AWS knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range- $85,000-$105,000 a year</p> <p>#LI-OJ1</p>
