<p>About Company:</p> <p>Playa Bowls is New Jersey's Original Acai Shop, and our mission is to bring superfruit bowls to the masses using only the freshest, highest quality ingredients while providing a fantastic in-store brand experience. What began as a pair of blenders, a patio table, and a fridge has flourished into a 300+ unit operator and franchisor of the leading fast casual restaurant concept. Playa Bowls added more than 70+ locations in 2024 and are on target to add as many 90 new locations in 2025. Our continued rapid growth has created the opportunity for an individual who will help us with continuing to grow our brand!</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment during their shift. This position is responsible for overseeing staff, managing customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The Shift Leader will also handle cash transactions and ensure that all financial procedures are followed accurately. Additionally, they will be tasked with resolving any conflicts that may arise among staff or customers, ensuring a positive environment for both. Ultimately, the Shift Leader is key to delivering an exceptional experience for our guests while supporting the team in achieving operational goals.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Proven experience in cash handling and customer service. </li><li>Knowledge of food safety regulations. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous leadership experience in a food service environment. </li><li>Certification in food safety or management. </li><li>Experience with inventory management. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during the shift. </li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards. </li><li>Handle cash transactions and perform cash register duties accurately. </li><li>Address customer inquiries and resolve conflicts in a professional manner. </li><li>Train new staff on safety procedures and operational protocols. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <p>The required skills are essential for the daily operations of the Shift Leader role. Cash handling experience ensures that all transactions are processed accurately, which is vital for maintaining financial integrity. Knowledge of food safety is critical to uphold health standards and protect customer well-being. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are utilized to address any issues that arise, ensuring a harmonious work environment. Basic math skills are necessary for managing cash registers and performing financial reconciliations at the end of each shift.</p>
