<p>Aviation Noise Scientist</p> <p>Position Location: St. Petersburg, FL/Remote</p> <p>Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000</p> <p>Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT), is seeking an experienced Aviation Noise Scientist to support our growing Aviation Noise Practice. CMT is a nationally recognized leader in aviation noise. CMT staff are experienced in providing noise analysis for Master Plans, NEPA Actions, and FAR Part 150 Studies. Staff include environmental data analysts, aviation noise scientists, airport planners/forecasters, and professional engineers who are at the forefront of aviation-related applications.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Applying state and federal environmental policies and regulations as they relate to aviation noise </li><li>Preparing aviation noise analysis for Master Plans, NEPA Actions, and FAR Part 150s </li><li>Providing internal input on airport operations/aircraft fleet mix for Master Plans </li><li>Assisting airports with the management of their noise abatement office </li><li>Respond to noise complaints and speak with members of the community </li><li>Preparing reports that describe the relevant analysis policies and regulations and the methodologies and results of the aviation noise analysis </li><li>Interacting with clients and the public to present analysis results </li><li>Managing multiple projects and clients </li><li>Assisting with the pursuit of aviation noise contracts (may require travel) </li></ul> <p>Minimum requirements:</p> <ul> <li>B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Aviation, Acoustics, or related discipline; M.S. degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a direct or related field </li><li>Experience as an aviation consultant, working at an airport or with Part 91, 121, or 135 operators (preferably in aviation noise) </li><li>Knowledge of aviation operations, ATC procedures, and FAA regulations </li><li>Experience using AEDT, NOMS systems and related flight data is a plus </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office products </li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal reports) </li><li>Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license with access to transportation </li></ul> <p>About CMT:</p> <p>Our tagline "Centered in Value" is more than a promise to clients; it's the commitment we make to staff that their careers will be valued and championed.
