This position is responsible for the safe operation, supervision, and maintenance of the Community Center's swimming pools and aquatic facilities. The Full Time Lifeguard also serves as a leader and mentor to other lifeguards while ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all patrons.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and mentor other lifeguards. </li><li>Monitor and patrol activities in and around aquatic facilities. </li><li>Enforce all pool rules and safety regulations. </li><li>Render assistance to swimmers in distress. </li><li>Administer first aid and CPR as needed. </li><li>Supervise swim lessons, classes, pool parties, and aquatic programs. </li><li>Assist with swim meets and special events. </li><li>Maintain sanitation of pool areas, locker rooms, shower facilities, and party rooms. </li><li>Assist with pool chemical readings. </li><li>Maintain and care for swimming and safety equipment. </li><li>Complete daily reports including accident, incident, and pool opening and closing reports. </li><li>Report facility issues or safety concerns promptly. </li><li>Orient and train new lifeguards. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be certified by the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard and maintain current certification. </li><li>Two (2) years of lifeguard experience preferred. </li><li>Ability to read and understand manufacturer safety data sheets. </li><li>Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Energetic, dependable, and professional demeanor. </li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and city events as scheduled. </li></ul> <p>APPLY ONLINE</p>
