<p>Overview</p> <p>Electric Boat Security Department has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to serve as the Briefing Officer.</p> <p>This position will report to the Personnel Security Division Chief of the Industrial Security Compliance Office. In this position, you will be working directly with a wide variety of departments across the Electric Boat Enterprise. You will be required to be familiar with the industrial security requirements of the 32 CFR Part 17: National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule and assist in other areas where directed by security supervision.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Learning and operating in accordance with the NISPOM Rule and the Electric Boat Security Manual. </li><li>Ability to communicate with hourly team members, salary team members, Human Resources, and all levels of management. </li><li>Responsible for briefings and associated tasking of briefings as required by the 32 CFR 117. </li><li>Assisting with Background checks and foreign travel reporting. </li><li>Assist in developing and implementing a security education and awareness program within the embedded department / company. </li><li>Develop and maintain program briefings and debriefings for programs managed by the embedded department / company. </li><li>Help with administration of adverse reports and other PERSEC reports. </li><li>Assisting in company sponsored events as needed. </li><li>Attend and hold meetings with vendors, government oversight agencies, industry partners, and our customers. </li><li>Support for any and all Security related audits. </li><li>Assist Industry partners with Security related issues. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED </li><li>US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Final DoD Secret security clearance. </li><li>3+ years of industrial security experience with a working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>An active Secret security clearance. </li><li>Prior Military Service. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Knowledge of the Groton Shipyard and all EB Off-Site Locations. </li><li>Experience with DISS and/or NBIS. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Physical Qualifications</p> <p>Climbing, Crawling, Kneeling, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting</p> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Cold, Hot, Inside, Outside</p>
