We need someone who strives for excellence in all they do, and who can thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and incredibly rewarding environment.</p> <p>What You'd Be Responsible For</p> <p>Cultivate and Secure Major Gifts:</p> <ul> <li>Build and manage a portfolio of prospective donors, focusing on major gift opportunities to advance BYU Athletics. </li><li>Design and execute innovative development activities to enhance donor retention, reactivation, acquisition, and growth. </li><li>Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals through personalized outreach and effective donor engagement. </li><li>Network extensively with current donors and influential leaders in the professional, business, and civic communities. </li><li>Leverage relationships within the Cougar Club membership base to identify and engage new donors. </li></ul> <p>Engage and Assist Donors:</p> <ul> <li>Provide exceptional service to current donors, ensuring their ongoing connection to and satisfaction with BYU Athletics. </li><li>Support Cougar Club memberships, assisting with ticket renewals, attending events, and addressing donor needs. </li><li>Facilitate meaningful interactions between donors, administrators, coaches, and student-athletes to deepen relationships and demonstrate the impact of donor contributions. </li><li>Guide donors in fulfilling their planned giving interests and desires, aligning their philanthropic goals with BYU Athletics' priorities. </li></ul> <p>Host and Represent:</p> <ul> <li>Host prospective and current donors at events, games, and personal meetings to create memorable, impactful experiences. </li><li>Serve as a key ambassador for BYU Athletics, representing the program's values, vision, and achievements to stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>What Qualifies You to Apply?</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>A firm commitment to the mission of BYU </li><li>Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education/experience. </li><li>All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>5 years of proven experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate and close major gifts. </li><li>Background in athletics as a student-athlete, coach, and/or administrator </li><li>Proven fundraising skills within a university athletic department, including a demonstrated ability to successfully solicit and secure major gifts </li></ul> <p>What we offer in return:</p> <p>In addition to our competitive pay structure, this position comes with fantastic benefits, including:</p> <ul> <li> <p>401k.
