Interested applicants must apply online by visiting the Denver Public Schools job board at careers.dpsk12.org.</p> <p>About this job:</p> <p>Works with the communications team and designated school or department leaders to implement comprehensive marketing communications plans for a minimum of three high-priority schools or departments. Outlines needs and recommends outcomes for marketing plans and leads the strategic and tactical implementation of these plans. Click here for more information on compensation for these roles. </li><li>In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off, health and wellness benefits, and PERA Retirement. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Provides comprehensive, strategic marketing communications support to designated schools or departments, including branding, marketing collateral development, internal and external school signage, student recruitment and retention strategies, digital communications, newsletter development and distribution, advertising, direct mail, media relations, management of school tour and recruitment events, school calendar management, and more. </li><li>Designs, implements, and manages internal communications at the school level as well as communications between stakeholders and three identified schools or departments; stakeholders may include students, educators, and parents as well as other community members across Denver. </li><li>Collaborates with graphic designers, translators, the school marketing team, and other communications team members to ensure consistency in messaging and visual branding for the supported schools across numerous platforms and in multiple languages as needed. </li><li>Acts as primary point of contact and project manager for identified schools, managing timeline, resources and completion for multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining keen attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent is required. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field is preferred. </li><li>Three (3+) plus years of comprehensive experience in communications, marketing, public relations, and/or internal communications is required. </li><li>Two (2+) plus years Experience in stakeholder engagement and outreach to a diverse community is required. </li><li>Colorado driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record for the past three years is required. </li><li>Proficiency with Google Workspace products including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Gmail. </li><li>Exceptional relationship-building, strategic-planning, facilitation, and project-management skills necessary to organize a variety of stakeholders around common goals. </li><li>Experience with Canva or Adobe for design. </li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communications skills as well as experience with tailoring messaging to a variety of audiences, including families for whom English is not their first language. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Works collaboratively with others on a team. </li><li>Solid creative skills to develop messaging and provide guidance on visual concepts that will inspire stakeholders to action </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel to sites throughout the District as well as maintain flexible hours in order to meet the schedule-related needs of school leaders </li><li>Basic graphic design, social media, photography, web content, digital advertising, and/or email newsletter platform skills recommended </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. </li><li>Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. </li><li>Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. </li><li>Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position. </li></ul> <p>Denver Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender expression, and sexual orientation), parental status, national origin, age, disability, genetic information (including family medical history), political affiliation, military service, or any other status protected by law or regulations.
