<p>This position is part of the Department of Energy's Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Office of Workforce Administration and Management (OWAM). As a Human Resources Specialist, you will serve as a senior advisor on the Talent Team, which works to improve existing hiring practices by scaling candidate assessment and selection methods to assess and hire high quality applicants.</p> <p>As a Human Resources Specialist, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as an expert advisor to the DOE Talent Team on special projects and programs related to recruitment and staffing, strategic advisement, and workforce planning/shaping. </li><li>Execute processes and projects to enhance recruitment and hiring activities across DOE. </li><li>Participate in interagency meetings and workgroups to advocate for new authorities, service delivery models, and training in program areas. </li><li>Conduct research and data gathering efforts to develop candidate assessment, selection guidance and assess critical occupations and hiring patterns. </li><li>Assure proper coordination between the Talent Team, operational recruitment and outreach teams, and customers across the Department. </li><li>Provide guidance to Human Capital leaders on program emphasis strategies and perform assessments to ensure compliance with agency regulations and Executive Orders. </li></ul>
