<p>Ortho Rhode Island has an excellent opportunity for a part-time (20 hours) Physician Assistant to join its Ortho RI Express team. The Physician Assistant will provide care at the state-of-the art Warwick location.</p> <p>Summary: The provider will assess and treat urgent musculoskeletal injuries in an orthopedic urgent care setting. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, with some evenings required. Specific hours will be discussed with the candidate and offer some flexibility.</p> <ul> <li>Performs and documents history and physicals of walk-in patients </li><li>Evaluates and treats injuries including sprains, strains, fractures, wound care and post op problems </li><li>Performs in-office procedures such as cast/splint placements, wound care and managing infection </li><li>Orders X-rays and other diagnostic tests as needed </li><li>Consistently and accurately documents all calls, treatments, medications, etc. in patient chart </li><li>Instructs and counsels patients regarding diagnosis and follow up steps </li><li>Responds to all patient questions </li><li>Assists physicians in addressing urgent patient needs as necessary </li><li>Maintains clinical information with additions/corrections as needed </li><li>Consults with an orthopedic surgeon as needed </li><li>Performs other duties/projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>IND2</p>
