<p>Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to diagnose and resolve issues with printed circuit boards (PCBs) that are not functioning as expected. The ideal candidate will analyze design, production, and assembly problems, test PCBs, and write corrective action reports to guide the production and design teams in resolving these issues.</p> <p>Job Day to Day:</p> <ul> <li>Test and diagnose PCBs to identify design, production, and assembly issues. </li><li>Analyze design, test data, PCB failures, and conduct root cause investigations to determine the origin of problems. </li><li>Write corrective action reports detailing solutions and recommendations for manufacturing and design improvements. </li><li>Collaborate with production and design teams to implement corrective actions. </li></ul> <p>MUST HAVE Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in power electronics and high power applications. </li><li>Experience in PCB testing, failure analysis, and/or root cause analysis. </li><li>Ability to write detailed corrective action reports for PCBs. </li><li>Strong understanding of PCB layout and design (needed to write corrective action reports) </li></ul> <p>Additional Desired Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with DC/DC converters, motor drives, and MOSFETs. </li><li>Experience with motor controls. </li><li>Experience working with suppliers. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>The role is based in a large production facility, with engineers working in an upstairs office and cubicle-style space. An electronics lab is available onsite on the same floor. Team members have flexible working hours, arriving between 6:30 and 8:30 AM, with the requirement to work 8 hours each day. The position offers contract extensions with many people staying for years, providing stability and the opportunity for long-term collaboration.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Carson, CA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
