<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Transplant Financial Coordinator reviews, seeks and verifies authorizations for transplant-related services pre- and post-transplant. The Transplant Financial Coordinator works closely with the Transplant Institute team members to include Transplant Coordinators, Transplant Assistants, Transplant Nurses and physicians and relays information about the patient's financial status in a timely manner. The Transplant Financial Coordinator works closely with different insurance companies and insurance case managers to provide pertinent patient information with the goal of obtaining authorizations for services. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Three (3) years' experience in Financial Assistance, Patient Access/Registration, Patient Accounting, Collections and/or Billing. </li><li>Extensive background and knowledge of Transplant Finance process and financial clearance requirements and Transplant Networks/Case Rates. </li><li>An equivalent combination of education and years of experience may be considered. </li></ul>
