This role will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of commercial equipment. This role includes working directly with customers to receive repair orders, provide accurate service estimates, and complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate delivers reliable service and ensures all equipment is returned in safe, working condition-supporting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>Repair all floor and carpet care equipment sold by this company and, where applicable, other </li></ul> <p>makes and models.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with Sanitary Maintenance Consultants and Service Center Manager for </li></ul> <p>appointments.</p> <ul> <li>Calculate estimates on parts and labor when requested and notify customer. </li><li>Daily: Maintain and keep the vehicle clean at all times, inside and out, dispose of all trash </li></ul> <p>(i.e. cardboard cartons, plastic, etc.) Responsible for maintaining installation van log. Check oil, battery, and radiator. Power steering and brake fluid should be checked (weekly.)</p> <ul> <li>Label and repair all machines as required when brought into Service Center for repair or </li></ul> <p>done on site.</p> <ul> <li>Upon completion of repair, properly fill out repair work order. </li><li>Make on-location service calls to larger equipment when not feasible to bring into Service Department and perform preventative maintenance when applicable. </li><li>Pick up and deliver larger equipment when trailer is needed to do so. </li><li>Keep work area in clean and safe condition. </li><li>Operate forklift if needed. </li><li>Does all welding required in service area and warehouse (based on location - experience </li></ul> <p>welder only).</p> <ul> <li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>Additional duties or special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate Will Have:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in equipment repair </li><li>High school diploma or GED required </li><li>Technical certification or vocational training in mechanics, electronics, or a related field preferred </li><li>Certifications on specific equipment types a plus </li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics </li><li>Knowledge of electronic circuitry </li><li>Mechanical and diagnostic background required </li><li>Computer literate with proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and AS400 </li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong follow-up abilities </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus </li><li>Valid driver's license and safe driving record </li><li>Physical Requirements: </li><li>Ability to lift and move equipment or parts up to 50 lbs regularly </li><li>Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching </li><li>Use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment </li><li>Ability to work in a warehouse/distribution environment (may include exposure to dust, noise, or varying temperatures) </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this role is $27 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
