The Group has expanded its publishing brands to a wider scope, encompassing Hypebeast and its multiple content distribution platforms, creative agency Hypemaker, e-commerce and retail platform HBX, distribution and merchandising segment Hyperoom and food and beverage destination Hypebeans.</p> <p>Hypegolf is a contemporary golf platform at the cutting edge of trends, products, lifestyle and discovery in this new era of golf. Combining style and youth culture, modern-day golfers of all levels of experience and creatives come together to enjoy the sport in their own ways.</p> <p>We are looking for a passionate team player who will play a key role in bringing this pop up to life. The primary role of the store manager will be to oversee opening planning (inventory, hiring, scheduling) as well as day to day operations once the store is live. This role will require strong organization, leadership, knowledge of the space, self sufficiency and clear communication skills. Working closely with the Hypebeast team, you will be contributing to an exciting moment for the brand.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsibilities including the following but not limited to, </li></ul> <p>Working closely with Hypebeast production leads and senior editor to execute the Hypegolf pro shop:</p> <p>Manage the order process ensuring order accuracy on time delivery and handling any returns prior to the opening of the store.Leverage tools to manage inventory and maximize financial performance regarding merchandise sales.Ensure that all store operation supplies are properly stocked and maintained correctly.Oversee POSs system, product pricing and management of all inventory and reporting.Conduct accurate monthly inventories ensuring strict adherence to inventory policies and procedure with the Hypebeast team.Create an efficient and timely plan for defective and/or unsold product while maintaining proper documentation for returns.Review and manage the process of all invoices, receive and return merchandise and ensure accurate billing of all orders.Maintain extensive contact with lead producer and relevant hypebeast team members to ensure teamwork and consistency in retail operations throughout the duration of the pop up.Timeline: contractor will complete tasks per the timeline communicated in writing by production leads.</p> <p>Staffing Duties:</p> <p>Source retail staff and develop staff training plan.Train all shop staff on how to maintain shop displays with appropriate signage for all brands featured, hold staff orientation, distribute staff handbooks, etc.Attend store every during bailout and delivery window.Oversee store set up logistics and planning.Set up all BOH inventory and post shipment details/logistics.Oversee that all payouts happen accordingly (work with Hypebeast finance team).Oversee load in and out with production team.Provide support to Hypebeast production team with vendor management and event planning when relevant.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of retail experience. Experience in sports retail or lifestyle brands, especially golf-related products, is highly preferred. </li><li>Proven experience managing a team in a fast-paced retail or event-based environment. </li><li>Previous pop-up or temporary retail experience is a strong plus. </li><li>Ability to recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a small sales team. </li><li>Capable of motivating staff to meet daily sales goals and uphold brand standards. </li><li>Handles escalated customer issues with professionalism. Sets the tone for a customer-first culture. </li><li>Skilled in driving sales, executing in-store promotions, and managing upsell strategies. </li><li>Experience with visual merchandising and maintaining on-brand displays. </li><li>Manages inventory tracking, stock replenishment, and daily reporting. </li><li>Proficient with modern point-of-sale systems, mobile payment tools, and inventory apps. </li><li>Keeps accurate logs for sales, staff shifts, and daily operations. </li><li>Must be available for the full 1-month duration of the pop-up, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings. </li><li>Willing to work longer shifts and handle setup and breakdown of the pop-up before and after the event dates. </li><li>Energetic and self-directed, with a get-things-done mindset. </li><li>Calm under pressure - capable of making decisions quickly and effectively during busy hours. </li><li>Excellent communicator - able to coordinate with external vendors, brand reps, and staff clearly and professionally. </li></ul> <p>$4,000 - $4,500 a month</p> <p>The expected monthly base salary range for this role is between $4,000 to $4,500. The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future.
