<p>Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor</p> <p>Reports To: Assistant Manager</p> <p>Department: Operations</p> <p>FLSA Status: Nonexempt</p> <p>Be a Founding Leader in Our New Murfreesboro Store!</p> <p>We're opening our doors in Murfreesboro-and we're looking for energetic, motivated, and hands-on leaders to join the launch team! This is your chance to step into a key role and help build something special from day one.</p> <p>Position Purpose and Objectives</p> <p>As the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our store's operations-leading the charge in getting products in and out efficiently, accurately, and on time. You'll play a critical role in building and leading a high-performing team, keeping our inventory on point, and ensuring our back-of-house operations are running like clockwork.</p> <p>This is more than just a supervisor position-it's a leadership opportunity in a brand-new store where your ideas, energy, and enthusiasm will set the tone from the start.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead, support, and supervise a team responsible for all shipping and receiving functions.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage inbound and outbound shipments with speed and precision.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain real-time inventory tracking systems and troubleshoot discrepancies.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all shipments are properly documented, labeled, and meet company standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and use of equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze stock levels and respond to shortages or excess inventory.</p> </li><li> <p>Play a key role in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Build team schedules that meet the needs of our growing store.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide coaching and performance feedback to drive continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and fully operational.</p> </li><li> <p>Support store security and loss prevention initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth logistics.</p> </li><li> <p>Engage with donors and ensure a top-tier experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Jump in to help with store promotions and marketing events when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 2 years of experience as a supervisor, lead, or keyholder in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or related fields.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational skills and the ability to think on your feet.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic math and computer skills for tracking and documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Clear communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to assess performance and coach for growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and clean driving record.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Frequently:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 25 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Climb ladders up to 14 ft, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle merchandise.</p> </li><li> <p>Walk, bend, reach overhead/waist level, and use fine motor skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Continuously:</p> <ul> <li>Stand on tile/concrete, talk, see, and hear. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule & Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primarily regular and weekend hours; occasional evenings and holiday shifts as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Work takes place inside the store (semi-controlled temperatures) and outdoors (varied weather).</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Duties as Assigned</p> <p>Other duties as assigned: Please note that this job description may not cover every duty or responsibility that might arise in the course of employment.
