As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.</p> <p>Job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems </li><li>Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others </li><li>Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems </li><li>Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies </li><li>Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance Java microservices and AWS Serverless applications. </li><li>Architect and develop solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and more. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements. </li><li>Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). </li><li>Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications. </li><li>Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to improve existing systems and processes. </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience </li><li>Extensive experience with AWS Serverless technologies, including Lambda and Step Functions. </li><li>Excellent knowledge of software development and testing practices, including TDD, BDD, and automated testing and continuous delivery frameworks and methods. </li><li>Proven track record of leading and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. </li><li>Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies </li><li>Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) </li><li>In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Agentic AI technologies and frameworks. </li><li>Familiarity with AI-driven decision-making processes and autonomous systems. </li><li>Ability to integrate AI solutions into existing software architectures. </li></ul>
