<p>Job Title: Surgical Technologist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the surgical room is prepared and maintained throughout the day. You will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and protecting the sterile field from initial setup through the completion of each procedure.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Wipe down the surgical room with alcohol to ensure cleanliness. </li><li>Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all equipment and furniture throughout the day. </li><li>Assemble and maintain the sterile field, ensuring adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques. </li><li>Conduct sponge, needle, and instrument counts with another team member. </li><li>Scrub for a variety of standard surgical care lines, including robotic procedures. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in scope processing, decontamination, sterilization, and aseptic technique. </li><li>Experience in neurology, orthopedic, and robotic surgical procedures. </li><li>Ability to be 'on call' as required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>BLS (AHA) certification. </li><li>Certified Surgical Tech (CST) certification. </li><li>Minimum of 1 year experience in scrubbing a variety of standard surgical care lines, excluding cardiac, with robot, ortho, and neuro. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position operates on a day shift from 6:30am-5:00pm with one set day off per week, working 4-10 hour shifts. The role requires 'on call' availability one weeknight per week from 7pm-7am and one weekend per month from Friday evening to Monday morning (7pm Friday - 7am Monday). Any time called in will be compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate, with standby pay at $9.00/hour.
