If you see yourself as a future Director of Propane with Heritage Cooperative, apply TODAY at www.heritagecooperative.com/Careers!</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the propane or energy distribution industry, with a proven track record of managing operations and driving growth.</p> <p>Comprehensive knowledge of propane industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.</p> <p>Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning.</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.</p> <p>Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., dispatching software, CRM, Microsoft Office Suite).</p> <p>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record</p> <p>Willingness to travel as needed to various cooperative locations, customer sites, and industry events.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in business administration, Energy Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field</p> <p>CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred or ability to obtain</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Serve as a positive representation of Heritage Cooperative's Core Values</p> <ul> <li>Provide Superior Customer Service </li><li>Highest Standards of Integrity and Trust </li><li>Continuous Improvement </li><li>Being a Good Partner </li></ul> <p>Develop and execute strategic plans for the propane division, including sales targets, market expansion, and service offerings.</p> <p>Identify new business opportunities, analyze market trends, and implement strategies to increase market share and profitability.</p> <p>Manage pricing strategies, inventory levels, and procurement to optimize margins and ensure supply.</p> <p>Prepare and manage the annual budget for the propane division, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.</p> <p>Oversee all daily operations of the propane division, including bulk storage, delivery logistics, equipment maintenance, and field service.</p> <p>Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of deliveries to maximize driver productivity and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Manage the fleet of propane delivery vehicles and associated equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and compliance.</p> <p>Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.</p> <p>Champion a strong safety culture within the propane division, ensuring strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA, NFPA 58).</p> <p>Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs for all propane personnel.</p> <p>Oversee regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions promptly.</p> <p>Maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications for propane storage, handling, and distribution.</p> <p>Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of propane managers, drivers, and service technicians.</p> <p>Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster professional development opportunities for the team.</p> <p>Promote a positive and collaborative work environment focused on safety, efficiency, and customer service.</p> <p>Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.</p> <p>Manage propane inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.</p> <p>Oversee the maintenance and integrity of all propane assets, including tanks, pumps, and dispensing equipment.</p> <p>Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers</p> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally</p> <p>May require occasional lifting , bending, and stooping</p> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS</p> <p>Ability to work in an office environment, as well as occasionally in outdoor or industrial settings with exposure to varying weather conditions and noise levels</p> <p>WHY HERITAGE?</p> <p>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</p> <p>Company Paid Life and AD&D Insurance</p> <p>Company Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability</p> <p>Paid Holidays, Sick, and Vacation Time</p> <p>401k with Company Match after 6 months</p> <p>Farm Bureau Membership</p> <p>Profit Sharing</p> <p>Questions?
