<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Perfusionist Faculty and Clinical Coordinator is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position (with potential for future tenure consideration) within the Department of Cardiovascular Perfusion. This position reports directly to the Department Chair.</p> <p>As a faculty member, responsibilities include:</p> <p>Teaching didactic and clinical curricula</p> <p>Engaging in scholarship and professional development</p> <p>Contributing to the intellectual and operational life of the department, college, and university, as outlined in the College of Health Professions Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Standards</p> <p>Faculty are expected to participate in student recruitment, admissions, and contribute to annual program evaluation and continuous improvement processes.</p> <p>As Clinical Coordinator, responsibilities include:</p> <p>Managing relationships with the programs affiliated clinical education centers</p> <p>Coordinating clinical preceptorship experiences aligned with the programs accredited curriculum</p> <p>Ensuring effective scheduling and communication with preceptors and clinical partners</p> <p>Handling schedule adjustments across time zones with professionalism and a student-centered approach</p> <p>Success in this role requires:</p> <p>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</p> <p>Strong organizational and time management abilities</p> <p>Flexibility and responsiveness in managing unpredictable clinical schedules and last-minute changes</p> <p>In consultation with the Chair, the faculty member will also support departmental efforts in related professional, clinical, or educational activities that advance the mission of the College of Health Professions.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Perfusionist faculty must have a diverse experience base in Clinical Perfusion and must hold a current certification (CCP) by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Must hold a Master's degree. Must be eligible for NYS license as a Perfusionist.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Extensive clinical experience managing adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients supported by extracorporeal technologies, including:</p> <p>Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB)</p> <p>Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)</p> <p>Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) / Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS)</p> <p>Cell salvage</p> <p>Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)</p> <p>Point-of-Care (POC) laboratory testing</p> <p>Evidence of ongoing professional development and engagement in non-clinical professional activities, such as:</p> <p>Participation in professional societies or organizations</p> <p>Attendance or presentation at conferences</p> <p>Professional research and publication</p> <p>Graduate degree in perfusion, education, healthcare, or research (PhD preferred).</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Rotating</p> <p>Message to Applicants:</p> <p>Recruitment Office: Human Resources</p>
