The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools, and a high school program divided between two 9 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park, and Park City.</p> <p>Why We Do This Work:</p> <p>The Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 has set an ambitious agenda for change, guided by the belief that all children, regardless of circumstances, can achieve at high levels and academic gaps can and will be eliminated with the support of teachers who deliver engaging, relevant, and academically rigorous instruction that excites students and instills a love of learning in them.</p> <p>If you are a dedicated, creative, data-driven, and results-oriented educator who wants to be part of a historic school transformation, we want you on our team!</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Provide guidance for teachers in implementing the Reading and Math Programs</p> </li><li> <p>Open the building for each session and make sure the facility is ready</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise every aspect of the programs for smooth operation</p> </li><li> <p>Close and secure the building each session</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor attendance of students</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate initiative for recognizing and resolving issues, concerns, or problems</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct classroom visits to ensure implementation of curriculum</p> </li><li> <p>Represent the District in a professional and supportive manner</p> </li><li> <p>Complete and maintain all required records</p> </li><li> <p>Distribute materials needed for instruction, provide Professional Development on programs, provide a check out list to teachers, conduct an inventory of supplies and materials, and return any materials to the EL Program Department at Lincoln Center at the end of the program</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ol> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>The ideal candidate would have strengths in communication skills, both written and verbal, is self-motivated and a great team leader with creativity and problem-solving skills.
