<p>Survey Field Technician - Mid-Level/Instrument Person</p> <p>Department: Survey/Geomatics</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: Deland, FL</p> <p>Reporting To: Frank Lopez Fernandez</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The mid-level Survey Field Crew position (Instrument Person) offers an experienced Survey Field Technician the opportunity to advance within the Surveying & Mapping/Geospatial profession.</p> <ul> <li>Training and Mentoring are provided to assist with continued career development. </li></ul> <p>Your Primary Responsibilities will include</p> <ul> <li>Operate instruments and data collection systems (total stations, levels, and other measuring devices) to acquire data for various types of surveys. </li><li>Assist or perform processing of field measurements and related data; Limited equipment maintenance. </li><li>Maintain supplies for crew vehicles. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to execute the duties of the rod person (entry-level person) and ability to substitute for and perform the duties of the crew chief when absent. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need</p> <ul> <li>High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school. </li><li>Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required. </li><li>Ability to travel (if needed) </li><li>Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project. </li><li>Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines.
