<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Mars Wrigley- Hackettstown, NJ</p> <p>Production Assistant</p> <p>Pay: $20.14+/HR(Based on experience) plus $1.50 shift differential</p> <p>Additional pay and benefits information below</p> <p>What do we manufacture?</p> <p>Chocolate and Peanut M&Ms</p> <p>Required Shift:</p> <ul> <li>12 hour rotating shift including days, nights and weekends </li><li>Rotation of 4 days "on" and 4 days "off" (First two days will be day shift and last two days are night shift) </li></ul> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>The Production Assistant is responsible for a set of machines, pieces of equipment and/ or processes within our manufacturing facility.</p> <p>What are we looking for?</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED or above </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and/or willing to learn and be trained on manufacturing equipment/machinery </li><li>Must be willing and able to work varying/rotating shifts including weekends and holidays </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent lifting/carrying (10-55 lbs) & pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs). </li><li>Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping. </li><li>Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs & lean over equipment. </li><li>Stand on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). </li><li>Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms. </li><li>Fluent in English- Read, write, speak and understand </li><li>*This is a PEANUT facility </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of hand on experience working in the manufacturing industry </li><li>Mechanical or technical training </li><li>Fork lift driving experience </li></ul> <p>What will be your key responsibilities?</p> <ul> <li>Accountable for the performance and safety of several machines, processes, people or pieces of equipment in the plant </li><li>Starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs. </li><li>Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover </li><li>Part of a shift team of up to 15+ associates contribute to achievement of targets </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>Pay based on experience: Starting at $20.14/Hr+ </li><li>Shift differential of $1.50 </li><li>OT potential </li><li>Annual bonus pay out </li><li>Annual merit increases </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Vision & Dental- Starts day one! </li><li>Up to 6% 401K match </li><li>Vacation time </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Short/Long Term disability </li><li>18 weeks parental leave </li></ul> <p>What will be the Interview Process?</p> <p>Application> Resume Review > Recruiter Phone Screen > Situational Judgement Assessment (online) > Onsite Panel Interview> Offer Decision</p> <p>What can you expect from Mars?</p> <ul> <li>Work with over 130,000 like-minded and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles. </li><li>Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today. </li><li>Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University. </li><li>An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus. </li></ul> <p>Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
