<p>Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical (Manufacturing) Engineer to support Electric Vehicle inverter manufacturing programs. This role is based in Greenfield, IN, and involves working within the regional Product Engineering group to establish and support manufacturing equipment, processes, and quotations. The engineer will ensure equipment meets product and customer requirements through equipment verification and qualification for mass production, alongside cross-functional collaboration.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, specify, install, and validate mechanical production equipment in coordination with Manufacturing Process Engineers and equipment integrators. </li><li>Lead or support equipment startup, commissioning, ramp-up, and in-process performance validation on the production line. </li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and conveyor systems to ensure stable, safe, and efficient operation. </li><li>Ensure all equipment meets design specifications, safety standards, and operator protection requirements. </li><li>Evaluate inverter products, processes, and equipment, allocating 40% of the time to this task. </li><li>Develop technology, resources, and production readiness, allocating 30% of the time to this task. </li><li>Support new business evaluations, allocating 20% of the time to this task. </li><li>Resolve mass production equipment issues, allocating 5% of the time to this task. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned, allocating 5% of the time to this task. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (approximately 3-7 years) with hands-on manufacturing equipment support. </li><li>Experience in equipment validation, process improvement, and the ability to lead or support equipment installation. </li><li>Ability to prepare reports and communicate technical findings to management. </li><li>Maintain functional knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and exercise sound business judgment. </li><li>Capability to prepare clear reports and communicate technical findings to management. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers minimal travel, with any travel being regional. The role includes working in an open office environment and spending time on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to noise.
