We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Opportunity: Patient Care Assistant</p> <p>Why is this role Important?</p> <p>The Transplant Unit is a twenty-one-bed special care unit located in Boston, MA. These beds are designated for acutely ill, organ transplant patients. The patient population on Blake 6, is comprised of pre and post renal, pancreas, liver, cardiac and lung transplant recipients. Additionally, patients may be admitted to the Transplant Unit for treatment of acute allograft rejection, opportunistic infections, and soft tissue infections. Long term allograft recipients who require other surgical procedures may also be admitted to Blake 6. Patients range in age from 15 to 70 + years. The unit is HEPA filtered and pressurized (positive) to help protect this immunocompromised population.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care. </li><li>Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR </li><li>Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire. </li></ul> <p>What do we have to offer?</p> <p>Weekly pay, and shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends</p> <p>Employee Perks, including travel and movie discounts, tickets to local attractions, and access to our shuttle service.</p> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>Mass General Hospital is a world-renowned institution that is committed to delivering the highest quality care to our patients.
