Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Is accessible to lab personnel whenever testing is performed, to provide on-site, telephone, or electronic support</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance by qualified testing personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Must be on-site to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by certain individuals</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors test analyses and specimen examination to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained</p> </li><li> <p>Responds effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills certain responsibilities as delegated by the Lab Director and/or Technical Supervisor. These may include:</p> </li><li> <p>Resolving technical problems and ensuring corrective actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Ensuring patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is functioning properly</p> </li><li> <p>Providing orientation to all testing personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Annually evaluates and documents the performance of all testing personnel</p> </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Laboratory Technicians</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science OR medical technology </li><li>At least one year of experience in a high-complexity laboratory performing testing (If holding an associate degree, two or more years of experience required) </li><li>Experience with PCR testing, molecular diagnostics, or microbiology </li><li>Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Experience working in a CLIA-certified high-complexity PCR lab preferred </li><li>Knowledge of LIMS, compliance documentation, and audit preparation preferred </li></ul> <p>PPGOH is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other basis covered by appropriate law.
