<p>The Team:</p> <p>Upstart's Auto Retail Engagement team is on a mission to make it easy, fast, and seamless for car buyers to secure auto loans through our dealership partners. We build the core technologies that power Upstart's Auto Finance platform, with a focus on driving demand for auto loans by enabling our dealership partners to create, present, and close loan offers with ease. We design intuitive, stable, and high-impact workflows that integrate directly into the dealership experience. Our north star is for dealers to open the Upstart lending portal every time they get a credit application and create value-add features to keep them coming back.</p> <p>As a Software Engineer on the Auto Retail Engagement team at Upstart, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to execute projects across the whole stack. You're a self-starter who delivers work with quality, testability, resiliency, and maintainability in mind. You'll move efficiently and deliberately to drive both existing and greenfield projects forward, while always keeping our end users in mind.</p> <p>How you'll make an impact</p> <ul> <li>Lead successful projects working collaboratively with engineering team members and cross-functional partners </li><li>Make thoughtful architectural decisions to improve the quality of our software </li><li>Translate complex business requirements into technical plans, and ultimately high quality code </li><li>Drive a culture of technical excellence. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of experience working on SaaS applications </li><li>3+ years of experience working in a full stack capacity with NodeJS/Typescript/Python backend and React/Angular frontend </li><li>Able to translate complex business requirements into system architecture and technical designs </li><li>Experience in working on medium to large projects through planning, design, implementation, and launch </li><li>Experience contributing to a culture of technical excellence related to quality, availability, and scalability </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in building microservices </li><li>Experience in building 3rd party integrations using REST/Soap APIs </li><li>Experience with cloud computing platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP </li></ul> <p>Position Location - This role is available in the following locations: Remote, San Mateo, Columbus, Austin</p> <p>Time Zone Requirements - This team operates across all U.S. time zones.</p> <p>Travel Requirements - This team has regular on-site collaboration sessions. These occur 3 days per quarter at an Upstart office.
