<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are looking for a committed Sterilization Technician to become a vital member of our esteemed laboratory team in Willimantic, CT. In this position, you will be tasked with the sterilization and upkeep of laboratory equipment, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform effective sterilization and maintenance of laboratory equipment. </li><li>Safely sterilize and dispose of used lab materials (including eggs, culture tubes, and waste). </li><li>Clean, sterilize, and prepare labware for use while developing a schedule based on production requirements. </li><li>Operate autoclaves per the labware usage schedule and specific client needs. </li><li>Manage the rotation, disposal, and replacement of plastic laboratory items. </li><li>Prepare daily detergent and disinfectant solutions according to equipment specifications. </li><li>Mentor and supervise lab technicians assisting with cleaning and sterilization tasks. </li><li>Handle laundry duties for laboratory items. </li><li>Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of autoclaves and other lab equipment. </li><li>Maintain logs for kitchen and other laboratory equipment. </li><li>Perform general housekeeping tasks within the laboratory as required. </li><li>Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <p>This is an onsite position based in Windham, CT.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
