<p>Note - this position is for Summer of 2025. Start date is flexible.</p> <p>Position Title: Lifeguard</p> <p>Position Reports to: Aquatics Director</p> <p>Employee Categories: Part Time Seasonal</p> <p>FLSA Category: Non-Exempt; Hourly Position</p> <p>Lifeguards are responsible for guarding the pool and the members in the pool area. Lifeguards are also responsible for greeting the members, testing the pool for chlorine, and maintaining a clean, organized and safe deck area and locker room area.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure a safe and friendly aquatic environment </li><li>Provide excellent service to members and guests </li><li>Ensure the pool staff models outstanding standards of service </li><li>Be familiar with and uphold the rules set forth in the Green Book </li><li>Recognize Emergencies and respond effectively </li><li>Promote Private Lessons, Group Lessons, Swim Team, Summer Program </li><li>Knowledgeable about The Pump Room and all aspects of Daily Operations </li><li>Regular and Flexible Availability </li><li>Assist with lessons, swim team, summer program </li><li>Assist with daily statistics </li><li>Assist with Pool Events, including the Swim Team Championship </li><li>Continued education: re-certification as necessary </li><li>Continued development of Standard Operating Procedures </li><li>Special Projects as assigned by the General Manager / Clubhouse Manager / Pool Director and Assistant Director </li><li>On rainy days, or days the pool may close, lifeguards are given the opportunity to keep their hours by completing other tasks around The Country Club. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate clearly. </li><li>Exposure to a private club environment is preferable. </li><li>Lifeguards must love to interact with all ages and have a passion for swimming. </li></ul> <p>Specialized Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Lifeguard certified </li><li>CPR/AED certified </li></ul> <p>Uniform:</p> <ul> <li>Bathing suit and Tee Shirt provided by TCC </li><li>Sweatshirt provided by TCC </li><li>Red Mesh Shorts and Sandals </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to be in the pool for long periods </li><li>Ability to sit for 8 hours </li><li>Ability to clean the bathroom, including floors and toilets </li><li>Ability to perform all physical requirements as outlined by the lifeguard certification course </li><li>Able to lift to 50 lbs. </li></ul>
