<p>Kforce client located just outside of Salt Lake City is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team.</p> <p>Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements </li><li>Analyze financial performance and trends to support strategic decision-making </li><li>Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts </li><li>Develop tools to assist with modeling transportation costs on Industry and Divisional P&Ls </li><li>Assist sales team with costing transportation for customer pricing </li></ul> <p>Accounting Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Manage general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes </li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies </li><li>Assist with audits and tax filings </li></ul> <p>Cost & Operational Analysis:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely and partner with the Director of Transportation to: Develop, implement, and track KPIs including cost-per-mile, load efficiency, on-time performance, and utilization </li><li>Evaluate profitability by route, customer, and vehicle </li><li>Monitor and control operating costs (fuel, maintenance, labor) while maximizing fleet productivity </li><li>Support pricing strategies and contract evaluations </li></ul> <p>Budgeting & Forecasting:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts </li><li>Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Develop a detailed understanding of the ERP interface with our logistics software platform </li><li>Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting processes </li><li>Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain </li><li>3-5 years of experience in accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in transportation or logistics industries </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SAP, M3, Net Suite, or similar) </li><li>Experience with transportation management systems (e.g. Rose Rocket) </li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills </li><li>Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.) is a plus </li><li>Experience with ERP system implementation, upgrades, or process optimization to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency </li><li>Familiarity with DOT regulations and industry-specific KPIs </li></ul>
