<p>Northridge Local Schools is seeking a Library Media Specialist for our Middle School and High School for the 25/26 School Year.</p> <p>Location: Northridge Middle and High School</p> <p>Grade Level: Library Media Specialist - Middle and High School</p> <p>Licensure & Certification Requirements (Ohio):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid Ohio teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.</p> </li><li> <p>Certification in Library/Media (K-12) through one of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>A Teacher Librarian (K-12) endorsement added to a valid Ohio teaching license, or</p> </li><li> <p>A Multi-Age (P-12) Library/Media Specialist license.</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet Ohio Department of Education requirements for service as a licensed School Library Media Specialist.</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of an approved educator preparation program in School Library/Media Science is required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of information literacy, research skills, and instructional technology integration. </li><li>Experience collaborating with teachers to support curriculum and student achievement. </li><li>Familiarity with Ohio's Learning Standards, Future Ready Librarians framework, and current best practices in school librarianship. </li><li>Skilled in managing a 21st-century media center, including print and digital collections, makerspace tools, and learning platforms. </li></ul> <p>Contract: 185 days</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>For job description, please click this link: Library Media Specialist or see attachment.</p> <p>Once you have complete the application, please email cover letter and resume to Rebecca Brechbill, High School Principal at rbrechbill@northridgevikings.org</p>
