<p>If you are a manufacturing or quality engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Marshalltown, IA location, you will be part of the North American Quality Team that Monitors the manufacturing of valves for nuclear power plants. Safety and quality are of the utmost importance at Emerson. You will be the liaison between manufacturing and our suppliers, driving continuous improvement and excellence, ensuring compliance to company and government standards.</p> <p>AS THE SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL:</p> <p>Lead Supplier Development</p> <ul> <li>Support all Emerson sites (including Quality WW team) for quality initiatives related to suppliers in North America </li><li>Collaborate with Global Supply Chain in Nuclear Supplier development. </li><li>Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to address issues identified by suppliers relating to Design, Manufacturability, or Quality Requirements. </li><li>Conduct source inspections, periodic supplier audits, and performance assessments at vendor locations </li><li>Work in collaboration with the global NBU Supply chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve issues. </li><li>Provide suppliers timely nonconformance data for rejected product. </li><li>Provide suppliers problem-solving and root cause analysis support to eliminate recurrences of non-conformances efficiently and effectively. </li><li>Manage and monitor Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS). </li><li>Ensure appropriate supplier corrective and preventative actions are implemented and proven to be effective in addressing quality deficiencies. </li><li>Create monthly reports </li><li>Drive continual improvement initiatives when targets are missed and maintain positive working relationships with vendors. </li></ul> <p>Own Supplier Quality Oversite and Improvement</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct source inspections, periodic supplier audits, and performance assessments at vendor locations</p> </li><li> <p>Work in collaboration with the global NBU Supply chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide suppliers timely nonconformance data for rejected product.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide suppliers problem-solving and root cause analysis support to eliminate recurrences of non-conformances efficiently and effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and monitor Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS).</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure appropriate supplier corrective and preventative actions are implemented and proven to be effective in addressing quality deficiencies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Create monthly reports </li><li>Drive continual improvement initiatives when targets are missed and maintain positive working relationships with vendors. </li></ul> <p>For This Role, You will Need:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline is required. </li><li>A minimum of five (5) years of Manufacturing Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering experience. </li><li>Experience in Auditing ISO 9001, ISO14001/45000, ASME NQA-1 preferred. </li><li>Experience with materials, manufacturing technologies, and manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, and machining. </li><li>Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Able to facilitate work with cross-functional groups to drive results. </li><li>Up to 40% travel required. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of ASME Section III Nuclear and Navy Mil-Spec </li><li>Certification of ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Lead Auditor </li></ul> <p>Our Offer to You:</p> <p>We recognize the importance of employee wellbeing and know that to do your best you must have flexible, competitive benefits plans to meet you and your family's physical, mental, financial, and social needs.
