<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This Payroll and Benefits System Coordinator - Senior position performs administrative and technical support functions associated with the Central Payroll System. This person is responsible for solving agency and system-related issues with payroll earnings, time & labor calculations, task reporting setup, and STAR access issues. They also audit Pay One Time transactions submitted by agencies, perform social security number validation work, and calculate complex pay rate changes due to Compensation Plan and Contract implementations.</p> <p>To view a complete list of duties for the role, see the full position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in the schedule-range (81-03) with an hourly rate between $34.00 and $37.50 ($70,720 - $78,000 annually). A 12-month probationary period is required. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.</p> <p>Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.</p> <p>Per current DEBF policy, this position will be expected to report into their headquarter location at least 2 days a week.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified candidates will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Processing payroll and/or human resources within an enterprise resource planning system (like PeopleSoft or similar system). </li><li>Researching and interpreting either local, state and/or federal laws, or statutes and administrative code as it applies to their scope of work. </li><li>Reviewing or auditing and resolving payroll and/or data discrepancies (e.g. validating data, identifying cause of data errors, and making timesheet or benefit adjustments, etc.) </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar, including basic Formulas and Data Analysis tools (e.g. Sum, Average, Sorting, Filtering, etc.). </li></ul> <p>Additionally, a well-qualified candidate may have knowledge or experience in the following:</p> <ul> <li>Performing payroll calculations including taxes, benefits, and miscellaneous deductions. </li><li>Testing system design changes or modifying queries in PeopleSoft or other database table-based systems. </li><li>Providing payroll services within the state or other public sector setting that include interpreting and applying compensation plan provisions or other complex payroll policies. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
