<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Data Analytics Engineer position will lead the charge on building scalable analytical models to support Retail and Wholesale Analytics for all of Genesco's brands. The position will require strong analytical skills along with deep experience in semantic data modeling. The engineer is responsible for design, development, and maintenance of applications and databases using Oracle technologies. They specialize in writing efficient SQL and PL/SQL code, creating database objects, and ensuring data integrity and performance across systems.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>High degree of proficiency in design and development of analytical models to support retail and wholesale analytics </li><li>Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code including procedures, functions, triggers, and packages </li><li>Create and manage database objects like tables, indexes, views, and constraints </li><li>Tune SQL queries to optimize database performance </li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring high availability and reliability </li><li>Support production environments with bug fixes, patches, and performance enhancements </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and Communication</p> <ul> <li>Explain complex PL/SQL logic or database architecture in simple terms to stakeholders </li><li>Communicate with external clients or vendors to gather requirements and provide support </li><li>Work closely with DBAs, developers, analysts, and project managers to align database solutions with business needs </li><li>Collaborate with non-technical business users to understand data requirements and deliver solution </li><li>Documentation: Create clear, structured documentation for procedures, packages, and system workflow </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems </li><li>3+ years of relevant experience </li><li>Retail experience preferred. B2C experience necessary </li><li>Deep knowledge of SQL and Analytical/Semantic data modeling </li><li>Experience with Reporting Software (IBM Cognos 10+, SSRS, PowerBI, Oracle BI, etc) is a plus. </li><li>Some travel may be required </li></ul> <p>#hybrid</p> <p>#LI-LC1</p>
