<p>Position Summary Westmoreland Contract Mining is looking for a Drill Supervisor to join our team. The Drill Supervisor will be responsible for safe and productive operation of all drills and drill crews</p> <p>Supervisor Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities over other employees.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Plan daily drill functions and implement proper drilling safety procedures. Ensure that proper techniques are being used in the field by direct supervision. Create drill logs for each hub and deliver to client. Prepare weekly, quarterly and yearly budget and drilling plans with client. Manage and direct contractors. Demonstrate and support the Westmoreland Mining Code of Conduct, promote and support overall health, safety and work environment. Conduct a daily pre-start meeting and equipment inspection and ensure site is safe for drilling. Inform mining operations of any geotechnical concerns. Coach, mentor and direct all Westmoreland Contract Mining employees. Communicate transparently with the client in representing Westmoreland Contract Mining's business interests.</p> <p>Typical Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions.</p> <p>The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Minimum 6 years of related work experience which includes production operations. Must have previous experience in supervising and directing work efforts. Demonstrated knowledge in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and safety regulations. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with workforce.</p> <p>Licenses, Registration, and Certifications</p> <p>Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
