<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>The Certified Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist III of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the IONM Coordinator. The IONM Specialist records by means of electronic equipment, neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS); or completion of a Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program that is CAAHEP accredited and one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R. EEG, R. EP, R. NCS) required. Must have a Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and a minimum of 3 years experience in Intraoperative monitoring and perform multi-modality complex Intraoperative monitoring for advanced IONM procedures including Cortical mapping, phase reversal, dorsal rhyzotomies and DBS. Must take call. May require working irregular hours under stressful conditions, rotating shifts, and weekends. Employee must possess considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy; ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of complex therapeutic procedures; and ability to make accurate physical observations of patients.
