Join our world-class, innovative team today.</p> <p>Position Specific Description</p> <p>This position will support projects on the West Coast of the United States. The work location is not limited to this area as the ideal candidate can be located anywhere in the country. Travel as necessary (estimated 20-30% of the time)</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for managing a regional portfolio of projects ranging from 5 MW to 50MW+ solar and solar + battery construction projects from development handover through project closeout </li><li>Responsible for running a competitive RFP for assigned projects, negotiating final proposals, scopes, and contract award to an EPC </li><li>Work with Development team to identify risks and project deliverables to ensure project is appropriately scoped during contracting phase </li><li>Manage EPC subcontractor through all phases of the construction lifecycle </li><li>Responsible to manage subcontractor execution deliverables including tracking deliverables, schedules, payments due, managing change orders, and providing notices or dispute resolution if required </li><li>Establish, maintain, and lead a cohesive and effective Project Team, through open communication and </li></ul> <p>proactive collaboration. Provide support to anticipate and overcome challenges, while ensuring all</p> <p>quality standards are maintained, and budgets controlled and adhered to</p> <ul> <li>Establish the sequence and timing of major work elements that support the contract schedule, while </li></ul> <p>considering interdependencies, constraints, and logic associated with the project critical path.</p> <ul> <li>Provide accurate reporting and forecasting for all elements of the project life cycle </li><li>Ensure effective communication between internal and external teams to ensure on time delivery of materials and equipment to meet Project deadlines </li><li>Oversee the successful execution of the project build by understanding and enforcing the contractual documents and requirements as well as timelines required by the Customer and Utility </li><li>Evaluate and advise on contractual conflicts and manage to successful resolution </li><li>Ensure Project documentation is well maintained and managed per company standards including RFI's, Submittals, Drawings, Standards and Specifications, Daily Logs, and management reporting requirements </li><li>Work with Engineering team to ensure timely responses to RFI's and Submittals occurs to maintain schedule milestones </li><li>Effectively manage project risk; evaluate profitability and severity of risk events as they are identified and prepare mitigation plans to minimize cost and schedule impacts </li><li>Ensure subcontractors are in compliance of all permits, laws, and regulations </li><li>Lead , manage, train and mentor Project Managers assigned to portfolio </li><li>Develop and maintain positive relationships with owners, contractors, and project team members to build strong and repeatable partnerships </li><li>Work successfully with Construction SME Interconnection, Quality, Commissioning and Safety teams </li><li>Effectively communicate project health and constraints to Director of Construction and leadership team </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>BS in Construction, Engineering, Business or related discipline preferred or 5-10 years of applied PM </li></ul> <p>practice in renewable energy, industrial construction, or infrastructure projects will be considered.</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment </li><li>Advanced knowledge and application of PM processes </li><li>Advanced understanding and application of contract commercial terms </li><li>Ability to negotiate contracts and develop scopes of work </li><li>Financial acumen with ability to act with limited supervision in the processing of finance related </li></ul> <p>information</p> <ul> <li>Agile in conflict management, and dispute resolution </li><li>Expertise in building codes, permitting and labor issues </li><li>High level of proficiency applying Global best practices in project management with a keen </li></ul> <p>understanding of construction methodologies</p> <ul> <li>Strong contract administration and risk management skills </li><li>Strong leadership, written and oral communication, team building, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving ability </li><li>Ability to conduct negotiations with vendors, suppliers, governmental entities, contractors and utilities </li><li>Proficient in coordination of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices and </li></ul> <p>procedures</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of project scheduling concepts, techniques, and software such as MS-Project and/or </li></ul> <p>Primavera P6 a plus</p> <ul> <li>Usually manages a project of varying values and degrees of difficulty as assigned </li><li>Solar Industry experience a plus </li></ul> <p>Preferred Background and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in solar or energy related projects of $10-50M+ preferred </li><li>Experience managing subcontractors </li><li>Superior project management skills </li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Travel to project sites as required </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and in the field.
