<p>ELEMENTARY (K-6) TEACHER</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Elementary or Intermediate School Administration</p> <p>PAY TYPE: Contract, Non-Supervisory</p> <p>PAY RATE: Based upon the WLCSC Master Teacher Contract (see attachment)</p> <p>BENEFITS: Eligible (see attachment)</p> <p>SCHEDULE: 183 Days; Follows school calendar</p> <p>This position will remain posted until filled. All qualified and interested applicants are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects, foster a positive classroom environment, and support the academic and social growth of students in an elementary grade (K-6) classroom </li></ul> <p>JOB SPECIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Education, Training, and Experience Required: </li><li>Bachelor's Degree (minimum) </li><li>Valid Indiana Elementary Teacher's License or pending licensure </li><li>Displays excellent communication skills and professional demeanor </li><li>Experience working in a school environment preferred </li><li>Preferred High Ability certification or willingness to obtain such </li><li>Preferred experience working with co-taught or push-in services </li><li>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics: </li><li>Displays positive and enthusiastic attitude </li><li>Ability to work as a team with other staff </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with a dynamic and diverse educational community </li><li>Experience with blended, project-based teaching methodologies and technology-based instruction </li><li>Displays dependability and punctuality </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Position works indoors in a typical school classroom environment </li><li>May work near others, often within a few feet </li><li>May occasionally be exposed to noise levels that are distracting </li></ul> <p>The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of positions given this title and shall not be construed as a declaration of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
