<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Office Custodian - 1 keeps premises of office buildings or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.</p> <p>PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Pass drug screen </li><li>Pass pre-work ability screen </li><li>High school diploma or equivalency </li><li>Pass pre-employment tests </li><li>Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner to team members and management </li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Noise level is moderate </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. </li><li>Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and other work areas. </li><li>Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor. </li><li>Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. </li><li>Operates vacuum regularly </li><li>Dusts furniture and equipment. </li><li>Polishes metalwork. </li><li>Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. </li><li>Washes windows, door panels, and sills. </li><li>Empties wastebaskets. </li><li>Transports trash and waste to disposal area. </li><li>Replenishes bathroom supplies </li><li>Transports small equipment or tools between departments. </li><li>Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall. </li><li>Responsible for having event spaces, tables and chairs setup and cleaned prior to scheduled event time </li><li>Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to follow directions, reading, writing, speaking, skills required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Hepatitis B Vaccination </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); </li><li>Or one to three months related experience and/or training; </li><li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND TALENTS</p> <ul> <li>Able to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Decision making/problem solving skills </li><li>Time Management </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Lift up to 30 lbs. at waist level and up to 15 lbs. at shoulder level on an occasional basis when moving products </li><li>Push or pull with up to 50 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving products </li><li>Generate up to 50 lbs. of grip strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products </li><li>Generate up to 10 lbs. of pinch strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products </li><li>Display average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks </li><li>Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products </li><li>Stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products </li><li>Reach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling products </li><li>Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shift </li><li>Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day </li></ul>
