The Department of Sociology and Criminology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Sociology at the rank of assistant professor to begin in August 2026. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Sociology program and consist of 4 undergraduate courses for the first academic year (2/2 teaching load) and 5 undergraduate courses for following academic years (3/2 teaching load with a semester-long sabbatical after a positive third-year review). Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Sociology by the time of appointment.</p> <p>We seek candidates whose research, teaching and service has prepared them to contribute to and support the University's mission. After a successful Third Year Review, a one-semester sabbatical at full pay is available in the fourth year and the 3/2 teaching load continues for years five and six.
