<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The IT Analyst for Radiology Systems has a pivotal role in the technical support and maintenance of radiology information systems, including PACS, Meditech CS/Expanse, and other diagnostic imaging software such as Fuji Synapse, Hologic, and Powerscribe, and the Radiation Therapy EHR system Varian's Aria. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and integration of these systems within the healthcare facility's IT infrastructure. The IT Analyst will work closely with Radiology Technical Support Specialists and PACS Administrators to address routine and complex technical challenges, providing solutions that enhance the functionality and efficiency of Diagnostic Imaging operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>System Maintenance and Support:</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and maintain the performance of radiology systems, including PACS, Meditech CS/Expanse, Synapse, and other related applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to clinical needs and security protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Interface Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Configure and manage HL7 interfaces and ensure seamless data exchange between clinical imaging systems and the EHR.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with vendors and clinical staff to troubleshoot interface problems and ensure accurate data synchronization.</p> </li><li> <p>Updates and Upgrades:</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with IT and radiology department heads to ensure software updates, patches, and upgrades are compatible with existing systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement new features and tools as required by the Diagnostic Imaging department, following stringent testing and validation protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Technical Liaison:</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as the primary IT contact for related technical inquiries and projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate effective communication between radiology staff and the IT department, translating clinical needs into technical specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Training and Documentation:</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and provide training sessions for Diagnostic Imaging department staff on new systems and updates.</p> </li><li> <p>Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and user guides.</p> </li><li> <p>Compliance and Security:</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all radiology information systems comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor system access and data integrity, implement security measures, and conduct regular security audits.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, specifically with radiology information systems. </li><li>Strong technical knowledge of PACS, Meditech CS/Expanse, and other clinical imaging applications. </li><li>Experience with HL7 interface standards and troubleshooting. </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical staff. </li><li>Proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a strong focus on system reliability and user satisfaction. </li></ul> <p>Reporting Structure:</p> <ul> <li>Reports directly to the IT Manager of Applications </li></ul>
