We work to build strong relationships with our clients that promote trust, cooperation and teamwork.</p> <p>The Surveying Technician supports our surveying and engineering teams by performing a variety of field, office, and mapping duties. This position also assists with drafting, mapping, and complies surveying information on coordinates, pictures, angles, and distances.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Key Responsibilites:</p> <ul> <li>Sets up, adjusts, operates, inspects surveying equipment, including electronic total station, data collector to measure distances, elevations, angles, and other data in order to collect survey data. </li><li>Participates and observes field and construction investigations. </li><li>Processes data from manual or electronic field books. </li><li>Performs basic field calculations on construction projects. </li><li>Retraces or surveys boundary lines under supervision. </li><li>Assists in researching existing record information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents; and maintain field data record. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent is required. </li><li>An associate degree in a civil engineering or land surveying program is preferred. </li><li>One or more years of relevant work experience related to surveying services is preferred. </li><li>College course work in surveying or civil engineering field is preferred </li></ul> <p>License or Certification Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license is required </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds </li><li>Be able to walk and climb over rough terrain </li></ul> <p>PPE Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer</p>
