<p>Overview</p> <p>The role of Patient Transporter is to maintain safety and provide exceptional care to patients requiring assistance in moving from one location in the hospital to another, or upon discharge. This will be done in an efficient and service oriented manner that aligns with the established policies and procedures of MGB Mass Eye and Ear, and of VPNE.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Make service, care, and satisfaction the priority in every interaction by providing exceptional patient experiences. </li><li>Practice and ensure safety as a top priority at all times for all patients, hospital teams and peer coworkers. </li><li>Engage with the patient to ensure that departure from the room is smooth and comfortable. </li><li>Communicate consistently and appropriately with patient and valet staff to ensure the patient has a smooth transition to the vehicle. </li><li>Report all incidents in accordance with institutional and company policies </li><li>Adhere to the policies, procedures and appropriate workflows (based technology used and personal communication), as agreed upon between the institution and the company </li><li>Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of front valet area </li><li>Perform any other duties specifically assigned by a supervisor or manager </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Years of Experience: Entry Level</p> <p>Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and written</p> <p>Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED preferred</p> <p>Vaccinations: Records or Agree to Receive, types of which as required by institution</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Able to provide outstanding and caring service to patients </li><li>Able to walk short and long distances, and while pushing a wheelchair </li><li>Able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds or more </li><li>Able to see, read and understand small print </li><li>Ability to use forms of mobile technology as trained </li><li>Vaccination required for employment </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Paid weekly </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision </li><li>Team Member Assistance Programs & Resources </li><li>401K with a match </li><li>Discount programs </li><li>Short-term disability </li><li>Accident insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li></ul> <p>VPNE is a family-owned, fun, and rapidly growing company headquartered in the Greater Boston Area.
