<p>Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst Position Type: Full Time Location: Washington School Elementary Complex Reports to: Building Principal Salary: As per FEA Teacher Contract This position qualifies for town benefits, including Health Insurance General Description: The Franklin Public Schools, a prek-12 district, is seeking a skilled and experienced BCBA to support children, staff, and families within the district. The BCBA will work with special education and school-based teams on behalf of children who present with significant behavioral challenges. Key Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Consult with team members regarding behavior plans, curriculum modifications, accommodations, and social skills </li><li>Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments and other behavior assessments </li><li>Assist staff in conducting informal functional behavioral assessments </li><li>Conduct scheduled consults with school staff </li><li>Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed for individual students or small groups of students </li><li>Establish data collection protocol and procedures </li><li>Monitor implementation of BIPs by teachers and staff </li><li>Assist in graphing student data </li><li>Analyze student data to determine efficacy of BIP </li><li>Observe students in school setting </li><li>Provide training, demonstrations and modeling to staff and families as needed </li><li>Assist in development of behavior goals for IEPs </li><li>Attend IEP meetings, parent meetings/conferences, and staff meetings as needed/requested </li><li>Serve as a resource for instructional and support staff </li><li>Collaborate with district administration to meet student and program needs </li><li>Will be a member of the safety response team </li><li>Serve as a District Safety Care Trainer </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current certification by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board </li><li>Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Previous classroom or special education teacher experience preferred </li><li>Experience in a public school setting </li><li>Able to take initiative and work independently </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and administrators </li><li>Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and dependability </li></ul> <p>We understand that our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideas-an exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes.
