Provide faculty and student support with skills and simulation activities for our Kingston and as needed, Providence location.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Serve as a resource to simulation lab participants as an onsite, fully certified healthcare professional.</p> <p>Orient Faculty and students to the skills and simulation lab.</p> <p>Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop policies and procedures for use of lab space and equipment.</p> <p>Assist or lead open skills lab, skills remediation, and/or simulation sessions as needed.</p> <p>Prepare setups for planned learning activities and support faculty in development of simulation scenarios.</p> <p>Keep current on simulation related policies and practices.</p> <p>Oversee the general cleanliness, safety, and/or organization of the laboratory and promote safe lab practices.</p> <p>Collaborate with IT support regarding the status of lab and simulation equipment.</p> <p>Assist with scheduling skills and simulation labs, as needed. Initiate work orders.</p> <p>Attend training and workshops as necessary to maintain current lab and simulation technology.</p> <p>Train and supervise undergraduate student workers in the operation and maintenance of lab activities.</p> <p>OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned. This role may be required to support some</p> <p>weekend or evening events.</p> <p>LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:</p> <p>Personal computers, printers, word processing and spreadsheet software.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Master's degree in nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience working with simulation and/or medical equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated proficiency with written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.</p> </li></ol> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist) CHSOS certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum one year experience working with medical simulation, technologies and applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum one year experience with computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to medical simulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience with medical terminology.</p> </li></ol> <p>_<strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>The University of Rhode Island is an equal opportunity employer.
