<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Position Title: NDT Technician I</p> <p>Date: Feb 24, 2025</p> <p>Location: Savannah, GA, US</p> <p>Company: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation</p> <p>NDT Technician I in GAC Savannah</p> <p>Unique Skills:</p> <p>Candidate must have strong written and verbal skills and be a team player.</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year of NDT related experience required.. Must be able to obtain certification in one NAS 410 NDT method within 1 year. Other Certification in and NAS 410 NDT methods preferred. ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred.</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>In a team-oriented environment, performs all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely and efficient manner to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies and installations are built to type design data.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Principle Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) and determine product acceptability to the authorized limits of the NDT level obtained in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures . </li><li>Record, organize and evaluate test results and enter results into applicable documents . </li><li>Ensure compliance to all radiation safety rules and regulations and provide protection to self and others during testing . </li><li>Maintain equipment and assure calibration for tests to be performed . </li><li>Maintain inventory control of area equipment . </li></ul> <p>Additional Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Works with and assists other NDT Technicians as required. . </li><li>Coordinates NDT inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency and cost effectiveness . </li><li>Provides technical assistance to subordinate level NDT technicians . </li><li>Performs process control on area inspection equipment . </li><li>Performs exposure room interlock safety checks, establishes radiation safety barriers, zeros pocket dosimeters, operates radiation survey meters and completes applicable survey logs and forms . </li><li>Performs automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts . </li><li>Must be available to work any shift . </li></ul> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must provide formal NDT training records. </li><li>NDT experience on determining product acceptability preferred. </li><li>Experience in blueprint reading and interpretation. </li><li>Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math. </li><li>Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions. </li><li>Must have essential personal and communication skills. </li><li>Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices. </li><li>Proficiency in current computer-based software. </li><li>Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Requisition Number: 225043</p> <p>Category: Quality Assurance</p> <p>Percentage of Travel: Up to 25%</p> <p>Shift: First</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-time</p> <p>Posting End Date: 04/30/2025</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer / Individuals with Disabilities / Protected Veterans</p> <p>Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.</p> <p>Legal Information | Site Utilities | Contacts | Sitemap</p> <p>Copyright 2025 Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.
