<p>Position is responsible for the weekend cleaning of parks and pavilions. To include litter picking, garbage collection, bathroom and pavilion cleaning.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Safely operates equipment such as trucks, blowers, utility carts, push mowers, string trimmers, etc. </li><li>Lifts objects above shoulder height up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Performs facility maintenance such as cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, scraping, painting and sanding. </li><li>Performs vandalism removal on buildings, play equipment, and other areas. </li><li>Performs grounds maintenance such as trash and litter pickup. Replace trash and recycling can liners. Planting/flower bed maintenance, weeding etc. </li><li>Performs playground surface replacement and upkeep. </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Assists full-time staff with various projects. </li><li>Ability to operate powered string trimmers, leaf blower, utility carts, pickup trucks. </li><li>Ability to withstand a variety of temperature and weather extremes. </li><li>Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.  </li><li>Be able to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner. </li><li>Ability to work irregular schedules based on project demand and weather. </li><li>Must provide own steel toed shoes. </li><li>Must possess a valid drivers license. </li><li>Must be at least eighteen years of age. </li></ul> <p>EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: May - September</p> <p>WORK SCHEDULE:</p> <p>Hours per day: Flexible hours between 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturdays, Sundays, and possible holidays.</p> <p>Hours per week: Up to 40</p>
