<p>Director of Health Centers</p> <p>Neighborhood Health is a second-chance employer, but full transparency is required. Failure to disclose will result in withdrawal of the job offer or termination of the hiring process.</p> <p>General Function:</p> <p>The Director of Health Centers holds a senior leadership position within a Federally</p> <p>Qualified Health Center (FQHC), taking full ownership of the operation and success of the</p> <p>organization's health centers. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered</p> <p>care while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. As the</p> <p>operational arm of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the director translates strategic vision into</p> <p>actionable plans, focusing on productivity, patient satisfaction, increasing new patient</p> <p>acquisition, and expanding services to meet community needs. The role also involves supervising</p> <p>the Manager of Clinical Support Services, ensuring staff competencies, and maintaining up-todate clinical policies and procedures.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Leadership and Operations Management </li><li>Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all health center operations, ensuring they </li></ul> <p>meet productivity targets, financial objectives, and high patient satisfaction scores.</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the Manager of Clinical Support Services and other direct reports, fostering </li></ul> <p>effective management of clinical and support staff.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes, ensuring all staff are </li></ul> <p>credentialed, competent, and operating within their scope of practice.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular training and competency assessments to maintain a skilled and </li></ul> <p>professional workforce.</p> <ul> <li>Foster a culture of professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement among </li></ul> <p>staff.</p> <p>Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, including Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), The Joint Commission (TJC), infection control, and </li></ul> <p>other regulatory requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and revise clinical policies and procedures to maintain high </li></ul> <p>standards of care and operational efficiency.</p> <ul> <li>Lead quality improvement initiatives, continuously assessing and optimizing clinic </li></ul> <p>workflows to enhance patient outcomes and operational performance.</p> <ul> <li>Oversee adherence to Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting requirements, </li></ul> <p>recommending Ascertain compliance with federal health plan reporting mandates.</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and facilitate quality monitoring activities, including infection control, incident </li></ul> <p>reports, and complaint tracking.</p> <p>Strategic Planning and Growth</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the operational arm of the Chief Medical Officer, translating strategic vision into </li></ul> <p>actionable plans for growing the practice and expanding services.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement strategies to increase new patient acquisition, enhance patient </li></ul> <p>satisfaction, and introduce innovative methods to attract and retain patients, such as</p> <p>telehealth, community partnerships, or marketing initiatives.</p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities for new clinical sites, services, or programs (e.g., school-based </li></ul> <p>clinics) based on community needs and organizational goals.</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development of outreach programs to meet community health needs, acting as </li></ul> <p>a liaison with external partners like schools or local organizations.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with leadership to streamline operations and align services with patient </li></ul> <p>needs, physician standards, and the agency's mission.</p> <p>Budget and Resource Management</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage the clinical budget, monitoring expenditures and ensuring cost effective use of resources in compliance with purchasing procedures. </li><li>Ensure the availability of adequate supplies and functional equipment to support quality </li></ul> <p>patient care delivery.</p> <ul> <li>Investigate and secure funding for new medical equipment or clinical initiatives as </li></ul> <p>needed.</p> <ul> <li>Monitor costs related to durable medical equipment (DME), medical supplies, and </li></ul> <p>pharmacy services to align with budgetary and regulatory guidelines.</p> <p>Community Engagement and Outreach</p> <ul> <li>Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and other functions as </li></ul> <p>directed by the Chief Medical Officer.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and support internal structures and staffing to meet community health needs, </li></ul> <p>including partnerships with schools or other organizations.</p> <ul> <li>Act as a liaison for community outreach efforts, promoting the health centers' services </li></ul> <p>and building relationships with community stakeholders.</p> <p>Reporting and Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Oversee clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting to support grant development, </li></ul> <p>funding source audits, and regulatory compliance.</p> <ul> <li>Review clinical statistics and reports, making data-driven recommendations for </li></ul> <p>operational changes to improve outcomes.</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in the organization's Quality Committee, attending meetings, </li></ul> <p>reporting findings, and contributing to quality improvement processes.</p> <ul> <li>Present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership, including the Chief Medical </li></ul> <p>Officer and CEO.</p> <p>Staff Development and Performance</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all clinical staff complete required competencies and adhere to organizational </li></ul> <p>policies and protocols.</p> <ul> <li>Work with managers to enforce disciplinary policies when standards are not maintained, </li></ul> <p>ensuring consistent policy application.</p> <ul> <li>Provide sufficient supervision and feedback to direct reports, evaluating skills and </li></ul> <p>performance to support professional growth.</p> <ul> <li>Clearly communicate and reinforce the agency's mission, priorities, and goals to staff, </li></ul> <p>fostering alignment with organizational objectives.</p> <p>Collaboration and Teamwork</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with medical, support, and administrative teams to provide a cohesive, team based approach to patient care. </li><li>Work closely with other leaders to streamline operations and ensure services align with </li></ul> <p>patient needs and physician standards.</p> <ul> <li>Participate in medical and provider staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to </li></ul> <p>clinical decision-making.</p> <ul> <li>Resolve conflicts and provide support to teams to ensure operational success. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer or executive </li></ul> <p>leadership.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with staff, management, </li></ul> <p>and patients.</p> <ul> <li>See problems, issues, and projects through to completion with attention to detail, </li></ul> <p>meeting required deadlines.</p> <p>Key Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Leadership and Management: Strong ability to lead and supervise clinical and support </li></ul> <p>staff, with experience managing the Manager of Clinical Support Services or similar roles.</p> <ul> <li>Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of PCMH, TJC, infection control, UDS </li></ul> <p>reporting, and other FQHC-related standards.</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate vision into actionable plans, driving growth </li></ul> <p>and innovation in patient care delivery.</p> <ul> <li>Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, clinical reporting, and quality improvement </li></ul> <p>methodologies.</p> <ul> <li>Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to engage with </li></ul> <p>staff, leadership, and community partners.</p> <ul> <li>Financial Acumen: Experience developing and managing budgets, monitoring </li></ul> <p>expenditures, and securing funding.</p> <ul>
