<p>Job Description:</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>Responsible for the overall organization, coaching, instruction, supervision, and administration of an NCAA Division III Volleyball program.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Coaching, instructing and mentoring student-athletes in the rules, fundamentals, and team concepts of volleyball. </li><li>Provide a positive student-athlete experience for all participants of the volleyball program. </li><li>Planning, organizing, and coaching student-athletes in practice and contest situations. </li><li>Recruit talented and qualified student-athletes within the rules and principles of the NCAA and University while engaging in retention efforts. </li><li>Engage in fundraising and Alumni relations responsibilities. </li><li>Engage in community service events in efforts for building stronger community relationships. </li><li>Exhibit the highest degree of good sportsmanship and professionalism, at all times. </li></ul> <p>OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Perform administrative and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. </li><li>Hire, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches within your program. </li><li>Work closely with internal support personnel to include Office Coordinator, Athletic Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Director of Athletic Communications, Compliance Officers, and Game Management personnel in the performance of their duties. </li><li>Game management duties, as assigned. </li><li>Pursue camp and clinic opportunities to both recruit future student-athletes to Salve and raise regional awareness of the institution. </li><li>Exhibit the highest degree of fiscal responsibility in the proper management, oversight, and reconciliation of athletic program budgets, including p-card transactions. </li><li>Monitor and promote exceptional academic progress of team members. </li><li>Attend all departmental meetings, designated events, and all Admissions Open Houses as requested. </li><li>Attend conference scheduling meetings as requested by the Director of Athletics. </li><li>Must adhere to all NCAA/NEWMAC/Salve Regina University rules and regulations. </li><li>In particular, all coaches and athletics personnel are charged with being knowledgeable and assuring and monitoring compliance by all student- athletes, staff and assistant coaches with applicable governing constitutions, by-laws, rules, policies, interpretations and regulations of the NCAA, the University and appropriate athletics conference. Staff members shall immediately advise the Compliance Office if there is reason to believe that violations have occurred or will occur and shall cooperate fully in any investigation of possible NCAA or Conference violations. </li></ul> <p>LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license in good standing. </li><li>Current CPR, AED, and First-Aid Certifications. </li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Incumbent is subject to both inside and outside work and could encounter extreme weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required with three (3) to five (5) years coaching and related administrative experience. </li><li>The successful candidate will possess highly developed communication and organizational skills, efficiency in computer usage and a high degree of self-motivation and dedication to all aspects of the intercollegiate program. </li><li>Must promote and foster an environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds. </li><li>Encourage student-athletes involvement in community service. </li><li>Must embrace diversity in all forms by actively promoting a culture of inclusiveness and striving for justice in your actions as a reflection of Salve's mission and the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in the environment of an academically demanding institution and abide by all NCAA Division III, New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference, and Salve Regina University policies. </li><li>Knowledge and experience with, or ability to learn the technology applications (ie.
