<p>Job Title: PD Speech Pathologist</p> <p>Location: Mountainside (MTN)</p> <p>Department Name: SPF - School Based Therapies</p> <p>Req #: 0000239139</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $73.15 - $73.15 per hour</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>Focused on supporting and improving a child's ability to participate as successfully and fully in their school environment utilizing occupation therapy methods and methodologies.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program </li><li>NJ Speech Language Pathology License </li><li>School Certification in NJ </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Pediatric affiliation </li><li>Experience working with medically fragile children </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>NJ Speech Language Pathology License </li><li>School Certification in NJ </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Per Diem </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Available during the regular school hours at assigned site and for required meetings within the parameters of the scheduled work day </li><li>Is adept in utilizing the educational model of service vs. the medical model of service in regards to the development and maintenance of a student's therapy program </li><li>Demonstrates good and timely communication skills to receive or convey essential and important information (i.e., reports and evaluations), to pertinent educational staff, CSH School Services staff, parents, student and other necessary entities </li><li>Will participate in IEP and other school meetings when appropriate. Such meetings could be in- person, by phone or by virtual meeting platform </li><li>Displays good collaborative skills which are crucial in formulating a specialized transdisciplinary plan for a student in their educational program </li><li>Provides necessary instruction, training, supervision and monitoring of school personnel in the use of a prescribed therapeutic plan, technique, or modality </li><li>Carries out assessment, reassessment and evaluation procedures for referred students, meeting district and CSH School Services requirements and timelines </li><li>Plans, develops and implements therapeutic interventions that are goal oriented and educationally relevant </li><li>Completes all necessary documentation, databases, schedules and billing logs in accordance with CSH School Services department policy and assigned district/school's policy </li><li>Maintains and is accountable for therapy inventory and equipment </li><li>Completes all assigned mandatory education requirements within stated timeframes </li><li>May, in conjunction with Fieldwork Coordinator, supervise clinical fieldwork students according to stated student program objectives </li><li>Supports efforts to accomplish the goals of Children's Specialized Hospital's School Services, representative of our organization - not as an independent contractor - adhering to the noncompete policies of the organization </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
